Limited Edition: Maybelline Jewel Tone Color Tattoo-- Swatched

I finally got my hands on the limited edition Jewel Tone Color Tattoo's by Maybelline; thanks to someone mentioning they seen them at Target on Twitter! As soon as I read the tweet I was out the door! I'm so happy that I have them because I have been looking for them everywhere. I'm still on the hunt for the neutral shades that were seen at Rite Aid but unfortunately I haven't seen any in the stores around me.

The limited edition shades are gorgeous and I can't wait to rock them on my eyes.  The Jewel Tone collection has 4 different eye-shadow shades! They are called "Blue on By," "Ready, Set, Green," "Fuchsia Fever," and "Test my Teal."

NYC Sun 'n' Bronze highlighter and bronzer- Review!

Yesterday as I was roaming Rite Aid looking for the new Maybelline Color Tattoos, I ran across new products from NYC. I have never been a fan of NYC and was never "wowed" by their products. But, their new bronzer and highlighter caught my eye; so I picked it up. They were both $4.99 but NYC was having a sale buy one, get one 50% off.

I actually picked up the highlighter in "712 Heat Wave" (on the left) and bronzing powder "710 Sunsational." (on the right) I believe that this was the only highlighter that they offered but they did have other bronzer shades and the one I picked up was the lightest of them all.

Both of these products are extremely soft and feel amazing. And in my opinion, they do have pretty good pigmentation.

As for the highlighter, I think it is beautiful and I think it could work as a highlight on any part of your face whether it's on your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose or under the brow.   The highlighter does have a TON of shimmer in it, gold shimmer, but it would compliment any skin tone and look amazing (especially on tan skin).

As for the bronzer, I think it is way to shimmery to use all over your face or as a contour. It would actually be a stunning highlighter! The bronzer also has gold shimmer in it like the highlighter but with all the colors mixed in the pan it gives a different sheen and highlight that would look beautifully on the skin.

Here is a photo of the highlighter and bronzer swatched.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream Review

Today I am going to review the new Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream. Other drugstore make-up brands just launched their own BB creams as well such as L'Oreal, Covergirl and Garnier. I'm sure we will see other drugstore brands launch their own versions of BB cream as well.

I just wanted to start off saying, I am in LOVE with the new Maybelline BB Cream. I picked up 2 shades; one in medium and the other in medium deep. The medium is great for me right now because I haven't been soaking up the summer sun-rays nor have been self-tanning. I figured once I start self-tanning the medium/deep shade would be perfect. When you go to the drugstore they have 5 shades to choose from; light, light/medium, medium, medium deep, and deep.

This product claims to be a 8-in-1 beauty balm. I completely agree with all the claims it says it will do.

1. Blurs imperfections
2. Enhances
3. Brightens
4. Adjusts to skin tone
5. Smoothes
6. Hydrates
7. SPF 30
8. 0% oils and other heavy ingredients

As I stated before, I love this product. When I wear this product it feels extremely light on my skin almost as if I'm not wearing anything unlike a foundation which can feel heavy at times. I've had no problems with it clogging my pores nor had any breakouts because I have fairly sensitive skin. When I put this product on, it looks like my skin but a million times better; my skin is glowy and radiant. The Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream covers my dark circles pretty well too, but I still use a concealer on top because I have prominent dark circles that is pretty hard to cover with even a regular foundation. I have skin that is on the dry side and this product moisturizes my skin perfectly that I don't need to moisturize before I put it on.  I have nothing but awesome things to say as you can tell!

Overall, I think this is an awesome buy. I recommend this 100% without a doubt especially for summer because its' so light on your skin. I hope this product works as well for you as it does for me because this product is nothing but simply amazing!
