Revlon Super Lustrous Color & Shine Lipstick

Pink Cloud, Lovers Coral, Pink Cognito, Honey Bare

Revlon has released a new lipstick line called "Super Lustrous Color & Shine Lipstick." I was so excited in the store that I grabbed four of the shades. I'm actually kinda tempted to pick up more!

My first impression of this lipstick when I put it on was how sheer the lipstick color really was, which is something I actually like within a lipstick. Experimenting with color lipsticks outside the nudes and light pinks actually make me nervous; therefore, I like that I can build the color into my desired shade and into something I feel comfortable wearing. As I applied this lipstick onto my lips, it went on very smoothly and evenly which is a plus. I do find this product very moisturizing which is great for people with drier lips. Within the four shades that I ended up getting 3 of the 4 did have shimmer and tiny specks of glitter. In my opinion I think that's what is going to give the lipsticks that "shine" finish. I could not feel any of the shimmer or small specks while I wore this lipstick, which I know the shimmer will be a downfall for some people especially for the girls who like that "matte" look. As for the staying power of the"Super Lustrous Color & Shine Lipstick," it's ok but it's not the greatest, however, these lipsticks are so easy to apply that it doesn't bother me to put it on again once it wears off.

Shades that I purchased:

  • Pink Cloud- A baby doll pink.
  • Lover's Coral- An amazing coral shade.
  • Pink Cognito- A gorgeous nude pink color.
  • Honey Bare- A beautiful nude shade.

Overall, I really like this lipstick that Revlon came out with. Hopefully as the line progresses, Revlon will be able to come out with some more gorgeous shades. In my opinion Revlon has amazing lip products in general and I don't think you could ever go wrong with them whether it's the lip butters, lipglosses or Super Lustrous lipsticks. The prices of their products are reasonably priced and you can always find a BOGO sale at any drugstore.

If you try this lipstick, let me know how you feel about it. I would love to hear your opinions!

Benefit "Fake Up" concealer

I'm back!

It has literally been forever since I've last posted and today I'm blogging about a new concealer that has made it's way onto the market. It's Benefits new concealer called "Fake Up" which is $24.00 at Sephora.

I was in the market for a new concealer because my other ones were becoming to light because summer is around the corner and I am getting tanner. I had my mind set on the Benefit concealer "Erase Paste," until I ran into the "Fake Up" concealer. What really caught my eye on this new concealer was the fact it claims to be a "Crease-Control HYDRATING concealer." My under eye area is very dry and sometimes concealer can cake up and look really bad so the fact it claimed to be "hydrating" had me sold.

I've been using Benefits "Fake Up" concealer for the last week and I have fallen in love and it has become my favorite concealer. I have prominent dark under eye circles and this stuff covers them flawessly. The blend-ability of this concealer is amazing, it blends into your skin like butter and I think it has something to do the hydrating properties this concealer has which is Vitamin E and apple seed extract. Unfortunately, I do have issues with the "Fake Up" concealer creasing when I don't set it but that is not a deal breaker for me.

I have literally fallen in love with Benefits "Fake up." And I will continue to repurchase this product because I find it that extraordinary.

I actually really love this product, Maybelline did a fantastic job with the formula, pigmentation and color selection. I actually prefer the Whispers over the Revlon lip butters. I hope that they add some more shades to their line soon.  Have you tried any of the Maybelline Color Whispers? Which ones are your favorite shades? If you have any questions or would like to share your own thoughts, please do so in the comment section.. I would like to hear what you think.
