Revlon Super Lustrous Color & Shine Lipstick

Pink Cloud, Lovers Coral, Pink Cognito, Honey Bare

Revlon has released a new lipstick line called "Super Lustrous Color & Shine Lipstick." I was so excited in the store that I grabbed four of the shades. I'm actually kinda tempted to pick up more!

My first impression of this lipstick when I put it on was how sheer the lipstick color really was, which is something I actually like within a lipstick. Experimenting with color lipsticks outside the nudes and light pinks actually make me nervous; therefore, I like that I can build the color into my desired shade and into something I feel comfortable wearing. As I applied this lipstick onto my lips, it went on very smoothly and evenly which is a plus. I do find this product very moisturizing which is great for people with drier lips. Within the four shades that I ended up getting 3 of the 4 did have shimmer and tiny specks of glitter. In my opinion I think that's what is going to give the lipsticks that "shine" finish. I could not feel any of the shimmer or small specks while I wore this lipstick, which I know the shimmer will be a downfall for some people especially for the girls who like that "matte" look. As for the staying power of the"Super Lustrous Color & Shine Lipstick," it's ok but it's not the greatest, however, these lipsticks are so easy to apply that it doesn't bother me to put it on again once it wears off.

Pink Cloud, Lovers Coral, Pink Cognito, Honey Bare

Shades that I purchased:

  • Pink Cloud- A baby doll pink.
  • Lover's Coral- An amazing coral shade.
  • Pink Cognito- A gorgeous nude pink color.
  • Honey Bare- A beautiful nude shade.

Overall, I really like this lipstick that Revlon came out with. Hopefully as the line progresses, Revlon will be able to come out with some more gorgeous shades. In my opinion Revlon has amazing lip products in general and I don't think you could ever go wrong with them whether it's the lip butters, lipglosses or Super Lustrous lipsticks. The prices of their products are reasonably priced and you can always find a BOGO sale at any drugstore.

If you try this lipstick, let me know how you feel about it. I would love to hear your opinions!

Benefit "Fake Up" concealer

I'm back!

It has literally been forever since I've last posted and today I'm blogging about a new concealer that has made it's way onto the market. It's Benefits new concealer called "Fake Up" which is $24.00 at Sephora.

I was in the market for a new concealer because my other ones were becoming to light because summer is around the corner and I am getting tanner. I had my mind set on the Benefit concealer "Erase Paste," until I ran into the "Fake Up" concealer. What really caught my eye on this new concealer was the fact it claims to be a "Crease-Control HYDRATING concealer." My under eye area is very dry and sometimes concealer can cake up and look really bad so the fact it claimed to be "hydrating" had me sold.

I've been using Benefits "Fake Up" concealer for the last week and I have fallen in love and it has become my favorite concealer. I have prominent dark under eye circles and this stuff covers them flawessly. The blend-ability of this concealer is amazing, it blends into your skin like butter and I think it has something to do the hydrating properties this concealer has which is Vitamin E and apple seed extract. Unfortunately, I do have issues with the "Fake Up" concealer creasing when I don't set it but that is not a deal breaker for me.

I have literally fallen in love with Benefits "Fake up." And I will continue to repurchase this product because I find it that extraordinary.

Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Gloss

Maybelline has came out with a new lipgloss called "Color Sensational High Shine Gloss." I ran across them at my local Walgreens and couldn't resist picking them up! I must say, I'm impressed and absolutely love them.

The "Color Sensational High Shine Gloss" line has 12 gorgeous shades to choose from. Here's a link to the Maybelline website so you can check out the shades for yourself.

These glosses are so pigmented its unbelievable.

The formula of these lip glosses are incredible! You really can't go wrong with purchasing these. These glosses are amazingly pigmented (as you just seen above). I do find them a tad bit sticky but that's what I like in a lipgloss. I personally believe a sticky gloss helps the gloss last on your lips longer. However, if you're not into a sticky gloss, then unfortunately these glosses aren't for you and you're missing out. The "Color Sensational High Shine Gloss" does have a nice subtle smell to them which I actually enjoy. I hate putting things on my lips that don't smell good. Along with everything I just mentioned, I should mention that these glosses do have a shimmer/glitter in them. The shimmer is not noticeable on your lips however I feel that the shimmer is what gives it the "high shine" name; if that makes any sense.

Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipsticks

I really love Revlon, they have amazing products and I believe that they are one of the BEST drugstore companies out! So, when I came across Revlon's new lipsticks called "Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick," I was sold.

Front Row, Silhouette and Private Viewing
I found mine at Ulta for $9.99. In my opinion, I find them pretty expensive especially for drugstore. They are available in 16 different shades, so you do have a pretty good selection to choose from! These lipsticks are supposed to have Shea Butter, Aloe, and Vitamin E; they are even supposed to keep your lips smooth and moisturized throughout the day. Revlon is also claiming that they will even wear while you eat. Does this mean you won't have to apply your lipstick when your finished with your meal?

I only purchased 3 colors, I didn't want to get to crazy just incase I hated the product. I'd hate to return 10 shades if I hated the formula. The 3 that I purchased were called "Front Row," "Silhouette," and "Private Viewing."

When I swatched the 3 colors I bought, I was pretty impressed. They apply smoothy and have nice pigmentation. I actually wouldn't even consider these a "lipstick," I feel like these are more like a tinted lip balm. Just my opinion though.

I haven't put these lipsticks to the test yet! I want to see how well they wear throughout the day and if these lipsticks are actually worth the price. I will have to update you on that. I did put each lipstick on to see the color; I'm not really sure how I feel about them. They didn't really show on my lips even though swatched they look pretty nice and pigmented. I may have to try putting a concealer on my lips first to mute the color of my lips.

That's all I have to really say as of right now. I will add more pictures soon, swatches of the colors and maybe a few pictures with the lipstick on. I want to get better lighting before posting anything.  I will also update on the wear of these lipsticks and if I am going to end up returning them or keeping them.

Update::: I am returning these lipsticks. I was not a fan of them. I found them to be very drying and not moisturizing at all. They didn't last on my lips and the formula was just terrible. I don't know if it was the colors that I bought, but you really can't see them on your lips. I'll stick with Revlon's other lipsticks and skip these ones!

Influenster and Bride To Be Voxbox!

Have you ever heard of a website called Influenster? Do you like trying and testing out new products? Do you like to be able to express your opinions on products whether you absolutely LOVE it or HATE it? This site just may be for you!

For information to see what Influenster is all about! Click the link right below this mini paragraph. I promise, you will NOT be disappointed.

I haven't be disappointed once by this website! I've been nothing but extremely impressed. The customer service is awesome and I couldn't be more pleased. I had a question and they literally answered me within minutes and this was on facebook, yes I said facebook! I highly recommend liking their page to see what upcoming boxes are coming our way!

Here's the link!

When I received my Spring Beauty VoxBox which was my first box, I was really impressed because they added full size products in; one product was even a Bath & Body Works body mist. How awesome is that? Pretty awesome!

Anyways, I just recently qualified for the Bride To Be VoxBox. I'm really impressed with the products that came!

I'm extremely excited to start using the Schwarzkopf BC Bonacure hair therapy shampoo and conditioner which is good for damaged hair. This brand claims to strengthen your hair and restore the hair's elasticity along with rebuilding hair structure. They also put in the box a Repair Rescue which is supposed to seal your split ends. Sounds amazing, huh? I can't wait to be able to give a review on this product.

I also received false eyelashes by Kiss which have the applicator strings to make application easier because we all know how difficult it is to apply false lashes sometimes. However, I did try this before. I wasn't to impressed with the strings; I felt as if the strings made it harder to apply them to my lash line. And pulling the strings off is NOT easy, it basically took my lashes right off. Even though it's been awhile since I've tried them, I am more than willing to give them another try. Besides, the lashes look amazing and natural; that's what I look for in falsies!

In my VoxBox I received Dream Water which is all natural. It says on the bottle it's a "Sleep and Relaxation Shot." I'm pretty nervous to try and taste it. I'll have to update you if it actually helps me sleep and relaxes me!

And last but not least they put gum into my box. Not just any gum though; it's a natural stress relief gum that has a liquid center which has orange and elderflower in it. I did chew it already, it didn't taste bad but it's not something I would chew on a daily basis. I can't really say if it helps with stress either, so I will have to give it a try in a stressful moment.... maybe at work or during my wedding planning?

I will give a review and update as soon as I give these products a good run for their money. I am extremely excited to try everything!

Thank you, Influenster for being so generous!

As soon as I read the tweet I was out the door! I'm so happy that I have them because I have been looking for them everywhere.
